Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch developmental projects worth ₹29,400 crores at a function at NESCO Exhibition Centre in Mumbai and perform the “bhoomi poojan” ceremony of two underground twin tunnel projects in the city on July 13, an official release said.
During his Mumbai visit, PM Modi will first appear at NESCO Exhibition Center followed by the INC Secretariat at the Bandra Kurla Complex.

PM Modi will also dedicate the nation new platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and the extension of platforms 10 and 11 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
Among the twin tunnel projects, one is part of the ambitious Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project, estimated at Rs 6,300 crore and being constructed by the BMC. It will help connect Western Express Highway at Goregaon to Eastern Express Highway at Mulund bringing down the travel time to 25 minutes from the current 75 minutes.
The other project is the Thane-Borivali Twin Tunnel, which is being executed by the MMRDA.
At the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, the prime minister will launch developmental projects related to transportation connectivity including, railways, roads and ports development.
He will also launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana for skill enhancement in the city.
Following the NESCO Exhibition Centre, PM Modi will visit the Indian News Service (INS) Secretariat in Bandra Kurla Complex to inaugurate the new INS Towers.
The new towers will expand the office space for employees at INS, the central hub for the newspaper network in Mumbai.
PM Modi will also launch the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana, a ₹5,600 crore initiative to address youth unemployment and provide skill enhancement opportunities to people aged 18 to 30, among other projects.
