Sinha's absence from the party's election campaigns is the reason for the disciplinary action
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a show cause notice to its Member of Parliament Jayant Sinha. The notice was issued due to Sinha's absence from the recent election campaigns.
The BJP has accused him of "maligning" the party's image. They have also claimed that Sinha did not even cast his vote in the ongoing general elections.
The party's leaders and members are expected to actively participate in election campaigns to garner support for the party.
“You are not taking any interest in organizational work and election campaigning ever since the party declared Manish Jaiswal as the candidate from Hazaribag LS seat. You did not even feel proper to exercise your right of franchise. The party's image has been maligned due to your conduct,” BJP state general secretary Aditya Sahu wrote in the show cause notice.
The notice asks Sinha to explain his absence from the election campaigns. It is a formal document that requires the recipient to justify their actions.
