N Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Manipur on Friday, made a public appeal for people to vote to safeguard the state's indigenous communities and maintain its territorial integrity. Speaking to reporters after casting his vote at Luwangsangbam Mamang Leikai, Singh expressed his hope that both Th Basanta Singh of the BJP for Inner Manipur and K Timothy Zimik of the NPF for Outer Manipur would emerge victorious and support the formation of a BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
Singh urged the people of Manipur to cast their votes to preserve the state's indigenous population, protecting the state's integrity, and fostering peace as soon as possible. The Chief Minister expressed his joy at the commencement of the first phase of elections for India's 140 crore citizens. He voiced his desire for Narendra Modi to serve a third term as Prime Minister and called on his fellow Manipur residents to vote for the BJP to bolster Modi's leadership.
