The Election Commission deemed Ghosh's comments about CM Mamata Banerjee and Shrinate's about Kangana Ranaut as 'undignified and in poor taste'.
On Wednesday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued show cause notices to Dilip Ghosh, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Supriya Shrinate, a Congress leader, for their respective remarks about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut.
The ECI found Ghosh's comments about Banerjee and Shrinate's about Ranaut to be ‘undignified and in poor taste’.
