Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticizes Congress and INDI alliance for their alleged intention to alter the reservation of SC, ST, and OBC.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and INDI alliance, accusing them of planning to disrupt the reservation system for SC, ST, and OBC. He claimed that if the UPA government comes to power, they intend to implement the recommendations of the Ranganath Mishra Commission, a former Chief Justice and Congress MP. According to the commission’s recommendation, six per cent of the 27 per cent reservation given to OBCs should be allocated to the minority community.
While inaugurating a media centre at the BJP office, Adityanath stated that the Congress also intends to infringe upon the rights of SC and ST. He cited the Sachar Committee report of the UPA government, which had to be withdrawn due to strong opposition from the BJP, as a prime example of this.
Adityanath claimed that the Congress, in its manifesto, talked about conducting a property survey and distributing property as per their wish if they come to power. He also mentioned that the then Prime Minister of the UPA government, Manmohan Singh, had stated that Muslims have the first right on the country’s resources.
The Chief Minister asserted that the BJP has focused on four castes in the country — the poor, farmers, youth, and women, emphasizing that there is no question of any caste, creed, or religion in this. He accused the Congress of seeking power at any cost, even at the expense of the country.
Adityanath alleged that the Congress supports the implementation of the Taliban’s brutal atrocities on women in India, including triple talaq. He claimed that the Congress supports the destruction of the Taliban by implementing Sharia law in the country, and their intentions of insulting half the population are clearly visible in their manifesto.
He further alleged that due to the intentions of the Congress, the country was divided in 1947, leading to terrorism and extremism. He claimed that all institutions were steeped in corruption, creating an atmosphere of distrust in the country, and that the Congress wants to take the country back to that era.
Adityanath pointed out that in 1970, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had given the slogan of eradicating poverty. However, poverty could not be eradicated due to the lack of concrete programmes, and their 19-20 point programs remained in the files. He criticized the Congress for falling victim to ‘commission taking’ and reiterated his grandmother’s slogan of eliminating poverty, calling their methods both dangerous and ridiculous.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the people must decide, as the country, security, life, and vote are theirs. He warned that one vote can bring back the old era of terrorism, while voting for the BJP ensures the security, good governance, and sovereignty of every individual. He concluded by saying that the BJP is moving forward with the concept of establishing India as a developed nation.
The event was attended by State President Bhupendra Singh Choudhary, Minister Aseem Arun, Media Incharge Manish Dixit, General Secretary Anoop Gupta, Harish Srivastava, Himanshu Dubey, and other dignitaries.
