On May 19, the 17-year-old teenager rammed his father's Porsche into a motorcycle in a drunken state, killing two IT professionals causing a nationwide outrage.

Two doctors at Sasson General Hospital in Pune including the forensic head have been arrested for allegedly manipulating the blood samples and destructing evidence in the car crash involving a 17-year-old boy.
The arrests were made after it was discovered that the blood samples of the minor involved in the accident were switched with those of another person who had not consumed alcohol.

On May 19, the teenager rammed his father's Porsche into a motorcycle in a drunken state, killing two IT professionals causing a nationwide outrage.
"They have been arrested for alleged manipulation of blood samples and destruction of evidence in the case," a senior police official was quoted as saying by newswire PTI.
The accused teen was taken for a medical check-up at the said hospital after an outrage on the lenient treatment and a review application by the police. Initially, the teenager was granted bail by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on flimsy conditions including the one where he was asked to write an essay on road safety. He has now been sent to an observation home till June 5.
The police have also arrested the minor’s father, a high-profile realtor and his grandfather in connection with the accident.
Earlier, Pune police chief had said that they are trying to build a firm case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the minor as he knew that this rash act of his could cause death.
They have also appealed for the teen to be tried as an adult. The teen is just four months short of 18 years, the minimum age required to legally drive a car.
Meanwhile, a local court in Pune remanded the six accused arrested in the case, including the teenager's father, in judicial custody. The minor’s father will remain in jail till June 7.
