Professor M Mohsin Khan of Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university with immediate effect, until further orders.

He has held various significant positions within the university over the years. He has remained the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce from 2014 to 2016 and as the Chairman of the Department of Commerce from 2016 to 2019.
Prof Khan has also held the office of University Proctor for over three years and is currently serving as the Finance Officer of the university.
He boasts of publishing dozens of research papers and authoring several books and monographs.
Apart from participating in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and symposia as a speaker and chair, he has led major research projects including an ICSSR-sponsored major research project titled “The New Middle Class: Impact on Growing Indian Economy vis-a-vis Consumer Market – A Case Study of Delhi & NCR” (2017-19).

He also excels in mentorship as he has guided 15 Ph.D. scholars, with four more currently pursuing their research under his supervision.
As a faculty member, he has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with specialization in entrepreneurship, banking and finance, and financial institutions and markets.
As Chairman of the Department of Commerce and Dean of the Faculty, he was instrumental in launching various academic initiatives, including four workshops, an international conference, and a national seminar. His passion for sports was equally evident through his active participation in university sports events, coordinated by the University Games Committee.
