The collaboration will use technology demonstrations, practical case studies and simulated compliance scenarios to help students and securities market professionals understand regulatory technology.

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) has entered into a collaboration with TrackWizz, the regulatory technology (RegTech) platform of TSS Consultancy Private Limited, to strengthen practical learning in anti-money laundering (AML), regulatory compliance and securities market surveillance.
The initiative will operate through NISM’s Compliance & RegTech Lab and aims to help students and capital market professionals understand how technology can support regulatory monitoring, risk assessment and the identification of potentially suspicious financial activities.

The partnership seeks to connect theoretical knowledge of financial regulations with practical applications. Through technology demonstrations, structured learning programmes and simulated case studies, participants will gain exposure to compliance processes used across the financial services industry.
The collaboration is designed to familiarise learners with the operational aspects of regulatory technology and financial crime prevention.
Participants will explore different stages of the compliance process, including:
Risk assessment: Understanding how financial institutions evaluate potential compliance risks.
Transaction monitoring: Learning how technology can help identify unusual or potentially suspicious transactions.
Alert analysis: Examining system-generated alerts and determining which cases require further review.
Investigation: Understanding how compliance teams examine cases, assess evidence and document findings.
Regulatory reporting: Learning about the processes involved in preparing reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
The simulated learning environment will allow participants to work through illustrative scenarios without relying on actual customer transactions or sensitive financial data.
The initiative is expected to support professional training, research, innovation and capacity building across India's securities markets.
Under the collaboration, TrackWizz will contribute its technology platform and expertise in AML, Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCR) compliance and market surveillance.
The partnership aims to demonstrate how RegTech solutions can help financial institutions and market intermediaries manage compliance obligations and strengthen the detection of potential financial misconduct.
TrackWizz is a platform developed by TSS Consultancy Private Limited. Its solutions cover areas including AML screening, know-your-customer (KYC) processes and surveillance technology.
By bringing industry technology into an educational setting, the initiative seeks to help learners understand the relationship between regulatory requirements, compliance workflows and technology-enabled monitoring systems.
Shri Shashi Krishnan, Director of NISM, said the institute aims to strengthen the capabilities of capital market professionals through modern technology and innovative learning approaches.
He highlighted the importance of connecting regulatory knowledge with practical experience so that professionals can better understand market conduct risks and the technological tools available to identify and address them.
Shri Sagar Chandrakant Tanna, Founder and CEO of TrackWizz–TSS Consultancy, said the combination of domain expertise and technology is important for strengthening the regulatory technology ecosystem and addressing financial crime.
He added that TrackWizz's experience in surveillance technology would contribute to helping learners understand how digital tools can support compliance and the detection of financial irregularities.
According to the announcement, the collaboration was formalised through an exchange of the agreement at a meeting held at the TSS Consultancy office in Mumbai.
The event was attended by NISM Director Shri Shashi Krishnan; TrackWizz–TSS Consultancy Chairperson Shri Chandrakant Tanna; CEO Shri Sagar Tanna; Chief Technology Officer Shri Malay Shah; Chief Financial Officer Shri Amit Amlani; NISM Manager Shri Sanket Nagesh Ahire; and other representatives of the two organisations.
The collaboration forms part of wider efforts to strengthen industry participation in professional education and technology-enabled compliance training.
NISM inaugurated its Compliance & RegTech Lab at its Patalganga campus on August 17, 2026. The lab was established as a technology-driven environment for education, training, simulation, research and innovation in financial market compliance.
According to NISM, the facility covers areas such as regulatory technology, risk management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and market surveillance. Its learning model allows participants to work through simulated financial market scenarios and understand workflows ranging from screening and risk assessment to investigation and reporting.
The TrackWizz collaboration is intended to add industry expertise and technology to this practical learning environment.
The initiative could help prepare students and market professionals for compliance-related roles by giving them exposure to the processes and tools used in modern financial services.
The National Institute of Securities Markets is an educational institution established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in 2006. It works to strengthen India's securities markets through professional education, certification, research, investor awareness and capacity building.
