On June 5, 2025, SDM University in Dharwad celebrated World Environment Day with the theme "Putting an end to Plastic Pollution". The event, organized with the NSS units of Physiotherapy and Nursing Colleges, included planting saplings. Chief Guest Dr. Mukayyaswami V. Kalasuramath spoke about reducing plastic use and protecting nature. NSS volunteers also cleaned and painted a local school.

SDM University celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 at Physiotherapy - Nursing College Campus under the Theme "Putting an end to Plastic Pollution". Dr. Mukayyaswami V. Kalasuramath, Prof. of General Medicine, SDM Medical College and Environment Specialist was the Chief Guest. Dr Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor was presided over the function. World Environment Day was celebrated in association with NSS Unit of Physiotherapy and Nursing Colleges.

After planting the saplings in the campus, the Chief Guest told that

Dr Niranjan Kumar felicitated Dr Kalsuramath. Dr Balaram Naik, Dr (Col.) US Dinesh, Dr Sanjay Parmar, Dr Prasanna Deshpande, Dr K Satyamoorthy, Faculty and Students of Physiotherapy and Nursing College students were present.

Mr Mallikarjun P. NSS Coordinator, Nursing College welcomed and compered the program. Dr Sangeeta Appannavar, NSS Coordinator proposed the Vote of thanks.

The NSS Unit of SDM RIBS was conducted world Environment Day celebration at the Govt. Higher Primary School at Ashraya Colony, Sattur. NSS Volunteers cleaned the School Campus, Painted the Walls of school and educated school students to keep the campus clean. Dr Ajaykumar Oli, Prof. Clement Chelli, Mr. Pradeep Shetty, Mr. Guruprasad, NSS Coordinator, Dr Renukaradhya Math and faculty members and Students were present during the function.
