The Chief Minister orders a re-examination under stricter supervision, stressing transparency, fairness, and accountability in the recruitment process to protect aspirants’ interests and uphold public trust.

The Uttar Pradesh government has annulled the assistant professor recruitment examination following complaints from candidates about irregularities, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordering that the test be held again under strict transparency norms.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, the decision was made “in the interest of the candidates” to uphold fairness in the selection process.

Yogi Adityanath reiterated the government’s stance against corruption, saying, “The government is committed to ensuring that all recruitments and selection processes are independent, fair, transparent, and conducted with integrity.”
He further warned that those attempting to compromise the process would face strict action. “Those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared,” he said.
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has now been tasked with conducting a re-examination.
The Chief Minister has directed the Commission to strengthen preventive mechanisms and ensure that the next test is held “fairly, transparently, and at the earliest.”
Officials confirmed that revised dates for the recruitment process will be announced soon, and candidates who already applied will not need to reapply.

The move aims to reinforce public trust in the state’s recruitment framework, which serves one of India’s largest groups of government job aspirants.
The decision underscores the administration’s zero-tolerance approach to exam malpractice, an issue that has prompted similar actions in other states following paper leak incidents.
For thousands of candidates, the cancellation may delay results but promises a more credible recruitment process under tighter safeguards.
