The chief minister unveiled upgraded school facilities, introduced smart classes and digital libraries, launched tablet distribution for teachers, and announced summer camps to enhance learning in government schools.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on May 26 highlighted the state government's efforts to strengthen digital education, recalling how schools were connected with virtual learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking at an event in Lucknow, the Chief Minister inaugurated newly constructed buildings and additional dormitories for 139 upgraded Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas.
Additionally, he laid the foundation for 43 Chief Minister Model Composite Schools and 66 Chief Minister Abhyudaya Composite Schools.
He announced that summer camps are being organized in all government schools across the state, calling the initiative an “innovation” aimed at enriching the learning experience.
“During Covid, we connected schools with virtual education. Now technology has advanced a lot, so it is very helpful... Similarly, summer camps in all government schools are a new effort; it is an innovation. Yesterday, a meeting of chief ministers was held in Delhi. The deputy chief minister was also present in it. We gave a presentation on the steps we have taken to revive dilapidated schools in Uttar Pradesh. This has changed the lives of lakhs of children. Thousands of people got employment due to this,” he said.
The chief minister also provided updates on the state’s digital education drive.
He said that smart classes have been introduced in 7,409 schools, RCT labs in 5,228 schools, and 51,667 teachers were connected with a tablet distribution program held on May 26.

You must have seen what a model it is and how we can reach the curriculum of good teachers to other places in a systematic way,” CM Yogi added.
