The internships provide valuable academic, professional, and personal growth, offering students and recent graduates hands-on experience in the humanitarian sector through both full-time and part-time positions.
UNICEF launched an internship program to assist students and recent graduates in gaining practical experience in the business sector.
The internships at UNICEF will benefit the interns' academic, professional, and personal growth by providing them with relevant experiences and chances for experiential learning in the humanitarian sector.
Through its worldwide internship program, UNICEF assists students and recent graduates in gaining firsthand, real-world work experience.
Both full-time and part-time internships are available, and they last from six to twenty-six weeks.
Most interns work on one or more projects that cover a wide range of topics, such as communications, database management, and research.
Every UNICEF intern is eligible to receive a stipend to help with living expenses, which is provided by UNICEF or a partner organization.
A one-time lump sum payment to help with travel and visa expenses may also be made when funds are available.
In order to be eligible, candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program, or have graduated within the last two years.
They should be proficient in at least one of UNICEF's working languages—English, French, or Spanish—and must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Candidates wishing to apply for the UNICEF internship program can follow these steps:
1. Go to the official UNICEF website.
2. Click on the careers link on the homepage.
3. A new page will open, where candidates must select "internship opportunity."
4. On the next page, click on "current opportunities."
5. Choose the internship opportunity you want to apply for.
6. Complete the application form and click submit.
7. After submission, download the confirmation page.
8. Keep a hard copy for future reference.
