The National Testing Agency has declared the UGC-NET June 2025 results, with over 1.8 lakh candidates qualifying for JRF, assistant professor posts, or PhD admission across India.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 21 announced the results for the UGC-NET June 2025 examination. Candidates who appeared for the test can now check their results on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
This year, 5,269 candidates have qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor roles.
Another 54,885 candidates have cleared the exam for assistant professor and PhD admissions, while 128,179 candidates qualified exclusively for PhD programs.
A total of 1,019,751 candidates had registered for the UGC-NET June cycle, out of which 752,007 appeared for the exam. Of the 428,853 male applicants, 305,122 appeared.
Among the 590,837 registered female candidates, 446,849 took the test.
The UGC-NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the roles of assistant professor and for awarding junior research fellowships in universities and colleges across the country.
The June 2025 cycle was held in computer-based mode across multiple shifts nationwide.
Candidates can check and download their scorecards by visiting the official NTA UGC-NET portal.
To access the results, candidates should visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
On the homepage, they need to click on the link titled "UGC-NET June 2025: Click Here To Download Scorecard." After that, they must enter their application number and date of birth.
Once the details are submitted, the result will be displayed on the screen and can be downloaded for future reference.
"UGC-NET plays a crucial role in selecting qualified educators and researchers for India’s academic institutions," an NTA official said.
