The June 2025 UGC NET exams will span five days in two daily shifts, covering over 80 subjects, with city slips and admit cards to follow soon.
The National Testing Agency has published the subject-wise schedule for the UGC NET June 2025 session, confirming that the computer-based examination will take place from June 25 to 29.
The five-day test will be conducted in two shifts daily: 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Held twice a year, the UGC NET serves as a key qualifying exam for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and certain PhD programs in India.
The updated dates revise the earlier plan that scheduled the exam between June 21 and 30.
With this adjustment, the exam window begins four days later and ends a day earlier.
Covering more than 80 subjects, the exam schedule is spread across ten sessions.
Traditional and emerging disciplines will be assessed in both shifts to accommodate a diverse pool of candidates.
According to the timetable, June 25 will feature subjects such as education, Urdu, and environmental sciences in the morning, with mass communication, law, and performing arts in the afternoon.
On June 26, the morning shift includes computer science, Bengali, and music, followed by political science, Assamese, and Indian culture later in the day.
Commerce and English are scheduled for the morning of June 27, while Anthropology and Visual Art will be held in the second shift.
On June 28, exams in psychology and Ayurveda biology will take place in the first half, with management, physical education, and Sanskrit-related subjects in the second.
The exam series concludes on June 29 with French, Hindi, and Economics in the morning and Sociology, Geography, and Tamil in the afternoon.
The NTA will release City Intimation Slips approximately 10 days before the first exam, informing students of their examination centers.
Detailed subject-wise schedules are now available on the NTA’s website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
