Telangana will see the addition of 570 new government schools, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced.
These schools will be established in rural and urban areas that currently lack such facilities, with each location selected based on a minimum enrollment potential of 20 students.

The decision was made during a review meeting with education department officials at the state’s command control center.
To address disparities between residential and day schools, Revanth directed officials to explore the possibility of extending similar benefits to day scholars in regular government schools.
"The government's core objective is to raise educational standards across all public schools and colleges. Every initiative must align with our commitment to delivering quality education," he said.
He also called for rationalizing enrollments across schools run by the SC, ST, BC, and minority welfare departments to ensure optimal student numbers per institution.
At the same time, he stressed the importance of student counseling focused on family values, social awareness, and civic responsibility.
"Not a single child should be left behind. We must ensure universal enrollment," he said, urging officials to intensify outreach efforts.
Revanth further pushed for improvements in teaching standards and called for integrating skill-based training with academic learning, especially in language proficiency and communication.
"Skill training should begin at the high school level itself, giving students the tools to succeed in their chosen fields," he said.
With the state witnessing rapid urbanization, the chief minister instructed education and municipal officials to identify land in HMDA and municipal layouts reserved for social infrastructure so that new schools can be developed in expanding urban areas.
