A total of 8,94,264 students appeared for the class 10th exam, of which 8,18,743 students passed. Among them, 4,22,591 were girls and 3,96,152 were boys.
The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) on Friday announced the SSLC results which recorded the overall pass percentage at 91.55 per cent.
A total of 8,94,264 students appeared for the class 10th exam, of which 8,18,743 students passed. Among them, 4,22,591 were girls and 3,96,152 were boys.
Those who appeared for the exams can now check their TN SSLC results at the official websites — dge.tn.nic.in or tnresults.nic.in.
Similar to last year’s results, this time too, girls have outshined boys by scoring 94.53 per cent, while boys scored 88.58 per cent.
In 2023, girls performed better by securing a pass percentage of 94.66 per cent, while boys scored a pass percentage of 88.16 per cent.
The Tamil Nadu government has announced special coaching classes for students who fail to get a passing grade in TN 10th results. These classes will begin from May 13, and the School Education Department also plans to hold mock exams that will be held every Saturday to help students practice.
To pass the TN SSLC exam, a candidate must score at least 35 marks in each subject. Those who could secure a passing grade can now apply for supplementary exams. The registration for supplementary exams will begin from May 11.
Students who want to apply for re-evaluation can apply from May 15 to 20. The re-examination will be held on July 2.
