The Directorate of Education in Delhi has recently announced the highly anticipated schedule for the aptitude tests that will determine admission into the prestigious Class XI programs at the city's Schools of Specialised Excellence for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. These specialized schools, affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education, offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in focused areas of study across three main tracks - STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Humanities, and Armed Forces Preparation.
According to the official circular, the aptitude tests will be conducted over a four-day period from July 20th to July 23rd. Aspiring students wishing to secure a coveted spot in the STEM (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), STEM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), Humanities, or Armed Forces Preparation School (AFPS) programs will need to sit for the respective entrance exams during this designated testing window.
The circular further clarifies that detailed guidelines outlining examination center locations, roll number assignments, and other key logistical information will be made available online for candidates to access. Importantly, eligible students will be able to download their admit cards directly from the official portal starting from 5pm on July 17th, giving them ample time to prepare and plan for the upcoming assessments.
These specialized schools have gained immense popularity in recent years, as they offer students a unique opportunity to hone their skills and passions within their chosen field of interest from an early stage. With the rigorous aptitude tests serving as the gateway to these programs, competition is expected to be fierce, driving students to put in maximum effort to showcase their abilities and stand out among the applicant pool.
