Veteran actor cashes in on prime city realty as NTT Global acquires land housing 4.9 lakh sq ft built-up area.
Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra has struck one of the biggest real estate deals in Mumbai this year, selling 2.39 acres of prime land in Andheri for a staggering ₹855 crore.
The transaction, registered in May, was executed through the family's companies — Pantheon Buildcon Pvt Ltd and Tusshar Infra Developers Pvt Ltd.
According to Square Yards, the property comprises two adjoining plots and includes three buildings with a total built-up area of approximately 4.9 lakh square feet. The land was acquired by NTT Global Data Centres and Cloud Infrastructure India Pvt Ltd, a major player in India’s growing digital infrastructure space. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of ₹8.69 crore and registration charges of ₹30,000.
Jeetendra's high-value sale adds to a growing trend of Bollywood’s elite capitalizing on Mumbai’s lucrative property market.
Earlier this year, Amitabh Bachchan sold a luxury duplex in Oshiwara for ₹83 crore — earning a 168% return on his 2021 investment of ₹31 crore. The Bachchan family continues to expand its real estate portfolio, recently purchasing 10 apartments worth ₹25 crore in Mulund and investing ₹10 crore in a project by Sri Lotus Developers.
Bachchan also acquired a fourth property in Ayodhya for ₹40 crore. According to Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan’s 2024 affidavit, the couple’s total assets stood at ₹1,578 crore, with ₹849.11 crore in movable and ₹729.77 crore in immovable property.
Similarly, actor Akshay Kumar recently sold an office space in Lower Parel for ₹8 crore, marking a 65% gain over his 2020 purchase price of ₹4.85 crore.
As film stars turn savvy investors, the Mumbai real estate market is witnessing a parallel drama — where property portfolios are yielding box office -style profits.
