The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Sunday declared the Bihar board Class 10 result 2024 in which 82.91 percent students have passed the matriculation examination.
BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore in a press conference announced the names of board exam toppers with more than 50 students to have appeared in the top 10.

Shivankar Kumar of Zilla School, Purnia has secured first position in the entire state in the Annual Secondary Examination 2024 by securing 489 marks - 97% while Adarsh has secured second rank, he said.
This year’s class 10 results are better in last 6 years with a total of 13,79,842 students passing the exam, Kishore said during the press conference.
Out of which, a total of 6,80,293 boys qualified the examination and while 6,99,549 girls passed the exams.
The exam was conducted between February 15 and February 23, 2024 in which 16.4 lakh students participated. The exam took place in 1,548 exam centers across two sessions.
Students can check the result using roll code and roll number at the official website of BSEB, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, and bsebmatric.org.
This is the third year in a row where BSEB has declared its result on March 31.
If a student fails in a paper, the BSEB does not permit re-checking. However, students can apply for rechecking of the paper only if they have passed the examination but are unsatisfied with their marks.
Moreover, candidates who fail to qualify the Board exam by getting 33% in all the papers will have to appear for the compartment examination, if failed in single paper.
The provision is not given to students who fail in more than two subjects and will be required to retake the entire class.
The downloaded scorecard is a provisional marksheet and the original marksheet will be given to students in their respective schools few days after the results are declared.
In 2023, over 16 lakh students appeared for matric board exams, majority of whom (5,11,623) attained second division in BSEB Matric result.
Last year, the number of students securing first division was 4,74,615 and the number of students securing pass division was 19,447, reported Mint.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Board released Class 12 (intermediate) result on March 23, in which the overall pass percentage increased to 87.21 per cent for all streams, reported Indian Express.
As per the official data provided by BSEB, the pass percentages in science, arts, commerce and vocational are 87.80 per cent, 86.15 per cent, 94.88 per cent and 85.38 per cent, respectively.
