NTPC Recruitment 2026: Apply for 135 Deputy Manager posts, check eligibility and fee

NTPC Limited has opened applications for 135 Deputy Manager positions in Electrical, Mechanical and Control and Instrumentation (C&I) disciplines as part of its 2026 recruitment drive.

The vacancies include 40 posts for Deputy Manager (Electrical), 55 for Deputy Manager (Mechanical) and 40 for Deputy Manager (C&I).

The online application window opened on Aug 12, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the careers section of the official NTPC website until Aug 26.

NTPC Recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

For Deputy Manager (Electrical), applicants must hold a BE or BTech degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks from a recognized university or institution. Candidates must also have at least 10 years of post-qualification executive experience in the power sector.

Applicants for Deputy Manager (Mechanical) must have a BE or BTech degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. The post requires at least 10 years of relevant post-qualification executive experience in the power sector.

For Deputy Manager (C&I), candidates must possess a BE or BTech degree in Electronics, Control and Instrumentation, or Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks. They must also have a minimum of 10 years of relevant post-qualification executive experience in the power sector.

The maximum age limit for all three positions is 40 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation according to government rules.

NTPC Recruitment 2026: Vacancy details

NTPC has specified additional requirements for candidates currently employed with the government or public sector. Such applicants must have completed at least two years of service in the executive cadre and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer.

Candidates from the General, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500.

Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from the fee.

Eligible applicants must complete the application online through the careers section of the official NTPC website.

Candidates are required to upload the necessary documents along with their applications. NTPC may reject applications that are incomplete or do not contain the required supporting documents.
