The results come at a time when some students have moved the Supreme Court demanding for a retest, alleging paper leak.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 4 declared NEET UG 2024 result. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test results for undergraduate courses can be accessed on the official website of NTA NEET at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. The results are also available on neet.ntaonline.in.
The NTA has released the result in record time, with the final answer key being released just yesterday.
NEET UG entrance examination was conducted on May 5, 2024. The provisional answer key was released on May 29 and the objection window was closed on June 1.
This year, a record 23 lakh candidates registered for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test -Undergraduate (NEET-UG), of which around 10 lakh were male students, over 13 lakh were girls and 17 students registered under the third gender category.
The overall attendance was recorded at 96.94%, with the attendance of male candidates at 96.92%, and 96.96% for female candidates. The attendance of transgender students was at 94.44%.
NTA has yet to announce names of all India toppers and category-wise cut-off marks and percentile ranks.
Meanwhile, few aspiring NEET candidates had earlier filed a plea in the Supreme court seeking a re-test of NEET UG expressing their fear that there was allegedly a paper leak during the last month’s exam.
Incorrect distribution of question papers at an examination center in Rajasthan had led to reports of paper leak as some candidates left the center with the papers during the NEET exam.
However, the NTA emphasized that the integrity of the examination process was not compromised. The exam for those students was conducted a day later on May 6, the agency said.
