The provisional merit list for the 2026–27 academic session ranks 7,952 candidates seeking postgraduate medical degree and diploma seats under Tamil Nadu’s government quota, with incentive-adjusted marks included where applicable.

Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), through its Selection Committee, has released the provisional rank list for NEET PG 2026 government quota admissions to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses for the 2026–27 academic session. Candidates can check their overall rank, NEET PG roll number, community category, service status, incentive percentage and total marks in the list.
The government quota merit list includes 7,952 candidates. Dr Rajesh Kumar V has secured the first position with 705.64 total marks, followed by Dr Akash S with 641.92 marks and Dr Monish Kanna R with 641 marks, according to the published provisional list.

Candidates should note that this is a provisional merit list, not a final seat allotment result. Admission will depend on the applicable eligibility and reservation rules, counselling choices, seat availability and subsequent official notifications.

The provisional merit list contains the following information:
Overall provisional rank
Application number and NEET PG roll number
Candidate name and community category
Service status and applicable incentive percentage
Total marks and community rank
The list also provides category-specific rankings for communities including Backward Classes (BC), Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities (MBC&DNC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars (SCA), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Class Muslims (BCM) and Open Category (OC).
Candidates can follow these steps to access the official merit list:
Visit the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee website.
Open the notifications section for October 2026.
Find “GQ – Provisional Rank List for PG Degree/Diploma (Government Quota) Courses – 2026–2027 Session.”
Open the relevant document and search for your name, application number or NEET PG roll number.
Verify your overall rank, community rank, service status, incentive percentage and total marks.
The official website also lists a separate provisional rank list for management quota candidates. Applicants should select the document relevant to their admission category.
Publication of the provisional rank list is an important step in the Tamil Nadu postgraduate medical admission process. However, inclusion in the list does not guarantee a seat.
Candidates should monitor official notifications for updates regarding eligibility, counselling, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. They should also verify the prescribed deadlines and follow the instructions issued by the Selection Committee for the 2026–27 admission session.
