In a Jan 14 notice NTA urged candidates to link their APAAR ID and update Aadhaar details to ensure digital preservation of academic credits and history.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), which will soon begin the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) application process, has confirmed that an Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID is not required for registration.
Aspirants can proceed with their NEET UG registration using alternative methods, with further details to be provided in the upcoming information bulletin, according to the NTA.
This year, NEET UG will be conducted in a single shift using pen and paper.
The date for the NEET UG 2025 exam and the specific application requirements have not yet been disclosed.
In a notice published on January 14, the NTA requested that candidates integrate their APAAR ID and update their Aadhaar information.
The purpose of the APAAR ID, formerly known as the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID), is to digitally preserve a student's academic credits and maintain a comprehensive record of their academic history.
For more information about NEET UG 2025, candidates can email [email protected] or call 011-40759000.
To assist candidates in creating an APAAR ID, the NTA has provided a video tutorial and a step-by-step user guide.
