The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Tuesday will begin the online application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 examination.

NEET PG exam 2024 will be held on June 23. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for July 7, 2024.
The cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility for NEET PG 2024 is August 15, 2024
Candidates who have completed an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate issued by the university affiliated with the Medical Council of India (MCI) are eligible to apply for this exam.
Medical graduates should have a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued either by MCI or the State Medical Council (SMC). A 12-month rotatory internship must be completed by aspirants.
National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has reduced the exam fee for NEET PG by Rs 750 for candidates of all categories. The revised fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 3,500, while for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 2,500.
There will be total 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying 4 marks. Therefore, the total marks for the exam amount to 800. Candidates are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. However, there is negative marking where for every incorrect response, one mark is deducted.
According to the revised schedule, the results of the postgraduate entrance examination will be declared on July 15, 2024 and the counselling process will start on August 5 and will conclude on October 15, 2024. The new academic session will begin on September 16, and the last date for joining is October 21, 2024.
