The revised timeline follows a Delhi High Court order permitting petitioners to re-register for Round 2, with seat resignation allowed until Aug 7 and registration reopening Aug 9.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the Round 2 schedule for NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 counseling after withdrawing its Aug 3 notification in compliance with directions issued by the Delhi High Court.
In a notice issued on Aug 5, the MCC said the earlier notification stands withdrawn with immediate effect.

The revision follows the Delhi High Court's order in Writ Petition (C) No. 11097/2026, Sunil and Another versus Medical Counselling Committee, which allowed the petitioners to re-register and participate in the second round of NEET SS 2025 counseling.
As per the updated schedule, candidates can resign from their allotted seats until 4 pm on Aug 7. The registration and choice-filling window for Round 2 will reopen at 10 am on Aug 9.
Candidates opting to surrender their allotted seats must complete the process within the revised deadline. Those planning to participate in the second round will be able to register and submit their preferences once the portal becomes active on Aug 9.
The MCC has asked candidates to refer to the revised timeline and complete all counseling-related formalities within the specified dates. It said the detailed schedule is available under the e-services section of the official MCC website.
Apart from the revised timeline, the latest notification does not introduce any other changes to the NEET SS 2025 counseling process. The Aug 5 notice is currently displayed as the latest Round 2 update on the MCC Super Specialty counseling portal.
