Eyewitnesses reported panic as gunfire broke out, with attendees fleeing in all directions. Cars were abandoned in parking lots, and some students hid behind stadium bleachers and nearby buildings to escape.

First responders arrived within minutes, securing the area and providing medical assistance to victims, New York Post coverage said.

At least four people sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to Christiana Hospital, with conditions ranging from serious to critical.

A fifth person suffered minor injuries. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims while investigations and family notifications are ongoing.

Hospital staff reportedly worked under high alert due to the sudden influx of critical patients.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the shooting, saying law enforcement is actively investigating.

No details have been released regarding suspects, motives, or weapons. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to identify those responsible.

The public has been advised to avoid the campus and surrounding areas as the investigation continues.

Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe expressed condolences for the victims and praised emergency personnel for their “heroic” response.

University officials condemned the violence and pledged full cooperation with authorities.

Students, alumni, and parents expressed shock and anger over the disruption of a typically celebratory weekend.

The shooting is part of a growing trend of violence during university homecoming events in the US.

Lincoln University has announced counseling and mental health services for students, staff, and alumni affected by the attack.

Authorities are working to reassure the campus community while reinforcing safety measures for future events. Law enforcement continues door-to-door inquiries and is reviewing evidence from the scene.
