KEA asks students with revised Class 12 marks to submit updated marksheets for KCET 2026 rank revision

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has asked KCET 2026 candidates whose Class 12 scores were revised after revaluation to submit their updated marksheets in person for rank revision ahead of the counseling process.

According to the authority, candidates must visit the KEA office at 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, between July 4 and July 6 with a copy of their revised Class 12 marksheet.

The updated scores will be considered only after they are verified through the student's DigiLocker account, following which KEA will revise the candidate's rank.

The announcement comes after several Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students alleged that the authority had not updated their ranks despite improvements in their Class 12 marks following the board's revaluation process.

The issue surfaced after the CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) controversy, which led to a large-scale revaluation exercise.

More than 160,000 students applied for revaluation, and many candidates whose scores increased sought revised KCET ranks. Students had claimed that KEA had not acted on their requests. The latest decision is expected to benefit hundreds of affected candidates.

Alongside the rank revision update, KEA has released the KCET 2026 counseling schedule. The first mock seat allotment results will be published on July 6 after 11 a.m.

Candidates will be able to add, modify, rearrange, or delete their web options from 2 p.m. on July 6 until 10 a.m. on July 9. The first round of actual seat allotment results is scheduled to be announced on July 15 after 11 a.m.

KCET is Karnataka's state-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate professional programs in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and veterinary science.

Candidate rankings are prepared using equal weightage for KCET scores, which are marked out of 180, and Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which are marked out of 300.

KEA had announced the KCET 2026 results on June 6. The entrance examination was conducted from April 22 to April 24, and 292,782 candidates were declared eligible.
