The newly launched programs at JMI include BA courses in German and Japanese studies and an RCI-accredited advanced diploma in child guidance, designed to enhance cultural knowledge and professional skills.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced the launch of new undergraduate programs in German and Japanese studies, along with an advanced diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling, for the 2025-2026 academic session.
Students interested in enrolling can submit their applications through the official portal.
These courses are being offered under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2025 as part of the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUUP).
The Bachelor of Arts in German Studies and Japanese Studies aims to provide students with knowledge in cultural studies, translation, and interpretation, while also incorporating industry-relevant skills.
The Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling is accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and is designed to prepare graduates for careers as RCI-approved counselors.
Graduates can seek opportunities in schools, hospitals, healthcare centers, government organizations, and national or international NGOs.
JMI said that the introduction of German and Japanese studies courses is intended to strengthen India’s cultural and professional ties with Europe and Japan.
To apply, students can visit the official application portal, click on “New Registration,” fill in the required details, and select the program of their choice.
The last date to submit applications for all three programs is Sept 6.
