IP University introduces four-year BMS program for 2026–27 session

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has expanded its academic offerings for the 2026–27 session with the introduction of a four-year Bachelor of Management Studies program, reflecting growing demand for management education among undergraduate aspirants.

The newly launched BMS program will have an intake of 60 students and will be offered at the Indian Institute of Packaging in Patparganj, an affiliated institute of the university.

Detailed information about the course is available on the university’s official websites, ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in.

Admissions to the program will be conducted primarily through the university’s Common Entrance Test, followed by consideration of CUET UG scores.

CUET continues to serve as a secondary admission route across most IPU programs, with the university previously stating that any unfilled seats after CET-based allocation will be offered based on CUET merit.

Candidates seeking admission must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks and English as a subject. The university said the program was introduced in response to strong market demand, noting that several institutions across India already offer similar courses.

The university had earlier commenced its admission process for the 2026–27 academic cycle on January 28, releasing brochures for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs.

IPU currently offers more than 43,000 seats across over 130 affiliated colleges and its constituent schools.

In addition to BMS, the university has rolled out 24 new courses this year. These include lateral entry into BS in Packaging Technology, MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and MA in Mass Communication as a weekend program, and other weekend courses in selected disciplines.

New offerings also cover Bachelor of Physiotherapy, BTech in Industrial Chemistry, BSc in Clinical Psychology, BTech in Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and BTech in Computer Science and Business Systems, along with programs in teacher education and inclusive education.
