IIT Delhi launches seven-month online Executive Program for working professionals

IIT Delhi has introduced a seven-month Executive Program for Chief of Staff to help working professionals strengthen their ability to support senior executives, manage strategic priorities and lead business execution.

Offered through the institute’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP), the online course is open to graduates from all academic backgrounds.

It is designed around the expanding responsibilities of Chief of Staff roles, with training covering strategic thinking, executive leadership support, stakeholder management, decision-making, business transformation and project execution.

The program will also cover technology-enabled approaches to handling complex business challenges, with a focus on balancing strategic priorities with operational responsibilities.

Participants will attend live online classes and expert-led sessions, along with case studies, practical frameworks, assignments and other applied learning activities.

The institute said the programme is intended to connect classroom concepts with challenges professionals encounter in their workplaces.

As part of the course, participants will undertake practical assignments and complete a capstone project that requires them to apply the concepts and frameworks covered during the programme to real-world business situations.

The program also offers an optional campus immersion at IIT Delhi. The immersion will give participants an opportunity to meet faculty members and peers while experiencing the institute's academic environment.

The program is coordinated by Sanjay Dhir, professor of strategic management in the Department of Management Studies, and Sonali Jain, associate professor of finance in the Department of Management Studies.

As stated by the program coordinators, the program aims to provide professionals with practical knowledge and structured frameworks to develop these skills.

All classes will be conducted live online, enabling professionals to pursue the program alongside their existing careers. The course is intended for graduates seeking to strengthen their leadership capabilities and move toward strategic and executive-level responsibilities.
