The new blended-mode MTech in Systems Engineering is tailored for working professionals with at least 3 years of experience, aiming to boost industry expertise and promote academic collaboration.
IIT Bhubaneswar has introduced a new MTech program in Systems Engineering tailored for working professionals, aiming to equip engineers with advanced skills relevant to modern industry demands.
Set to begin shortly, the blended learning course is designed for candidates with at least three years of experience in industrial or plant-based roles.
According to the institute, the program will offer flexibility for participants to continue working while enhancing their systems engineering expertise.
The curriculum includes modules on modeling system behavior, testing system performance, and system design.
It also covers tools and techniques such as reliability engineering and statistical machine learning to help professionals better predict and evaluate system behavior.
Developed in collaboration with Applied Materials India Private Limited, a subsidiary of global semiconductor solutions firm Applied Materials, Inc., the course is expected to strengthen the industry-academia partnership.
"Such programs foster deeper collaboration between academia and industry. Beyond professional development, they open avenues for joint R&D (research and development), leading to innovations that can significantly benefit society and contribute to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat," said Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar.
The initiative aims to bridge knowledge gaps and support India’s goals for self-reliance by nurturing talent aligned with emerging technological needs.
