The four-year program will admit 70 students through JEE Main and interviews, combine emerging technologies with management training, and offer a pathway to MBA along with industry-linked learning opportunities.

IIM Mumbai is set to introduce its first four-year undergraduate program in Digital Science and Business Management this year, marking its entry into UG education through a collaboration with IIT Bombay and industry partners.
The announcement was made by Director Professor Manoj Tiwari during the institute’s convocation ceremony for its first MBA batch. The program will admit 70 students and aims to prepare graduates for roles that combine technological expertise with business leadership.

Students will be selected based on their Joint Entrance Examination Main scores, followed by an interview process.
"This program brings together the most transformative technologies of recent times - Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, the Internet of Things, and Robotics, seamlessly integrated with the core pillars of management: operations, marketing, finance, and manufacturing," the director said.
According to Tiwari, the course is structured to align with the needs of digitally driven industries by training students to work at the intersection of technology and management.
The annual fee for the program is expected to be between ₹6 lakh and ₹7 lakh. While IIT Bombay and industry partners will handle the technology component, IIM Mumbai will focus on business management training and has indicated a commitment to 100% placements.
Admissions will be conducted through JEE Main scores followed by interviews.
"We will also give third-year students in the third year of the course the option to pursue a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), which they can complete in one year immediately after the four-year bachelor's program," he added.
The institute also plans to expand its undergraduate offerings in the future, subject to infrastructure upgrades.
"Currently we have a hostel capacity of 1,200 students. After we upgrade our infrastructure that can accommodate more students, we will roll out more bachelor's programs," Prof Tiwari said.
At the convocation, a total of 505 students graduated from IIM Mumbai following its transition from NITIE in 2026.
This included 300 students from the General MBA program, 177 from MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management, and 28 from MBA in Sustainability Management.
In addition, 39 students from the first batch of the one-year executive program in Logistics and Operations Excellence through Digitization, 26 students from another one-year executive program, and 6 doctoral candidates were awarded degrees.
