IIM Kozhikode partners with Simplilearn to launch AI product development certificate program

IIM Kozhikode has launched a new Professional Certificate Programme in AI-Powered Product Development and Innovation in collaboration with Simplilearn, aiming to equip professionals to lead transformation in AI-driven product landscapes.

The 10-month course will be taught by IIM Kozhikode faculty and offers over 120 hours of live online sessions covering the entire AI product lifecycle.

Participants will learn to develop, deploy, and scale AI-powered products, with special focus on generative AI, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and ethical AI practices.

According to Simplilearn, the program combines core product strategy with practical application through case studies, hands-on projects, and a capstone project.

The curriculum addresses key industry needs, including data governance and ethical AI, preparing learners to align AI solutions with business objectives.

“This initiative is designed to empower experienced professionals to harness the power of AI in real-world business scenarios strategically,” said Prof Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode.

“With a focus on India-centric AI strategies aligned with global standards, the program also addresses the ethical, technical, and leadership dimensions of AI transformation. The capstone project ensures that learners translate their insights into a personalized AI playbook ready for real-world impact,” Prof Chatterjee added.

Participants who complete the program, including the capstone project, will receive a certificate from IIM Kozhikode.

They will also have the opportunity to attend a 3-day in-campus immersion at IIM Kozhikode for an intensive hands-on learning experience.
