IIM Kashipur sees rise in female representation in various programs

From a total seat of 170, the Institute enrolled 118 female candidates. This is an increase from only 74 female candidates enrolled for the previous batch.

IIM Kashipur sees rise in female representation in various programs

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur recorded 30% female students enrolment in 2021-2023 batch as compared to 2019-21 batch with 70% female candidates enrolling in its MBA Analytics course for batch 2023-25. 

From a total seat of 170, the Institute enrolled 118 female candidates. This is an increase from only 74 female candidates enrolled for the previous batch.

The rise in female enrolment has been witnessed for all the programs on campus. It surged to 30 per cent for the 2021-23 batch, which enrolled only 11 per cent female students for the previous batch (2019-21), reported The Indian Express.

Recently, the university also conducted convocation ceremony, where Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG India, distributed a  total of 10 medals to students for their exceptional academic performance, out of which five were gold, four silver, and one bronze.

A total of 438 students received conferment degrees in this year’s convocation, out of which 232 graduating cohorts received MBA degrees, 87 from MBA Analytics degrees, 83 from EMBAA degrees, and 21 from Executive MBA degrees, it said.

Along with that 15 scholars from the doctoral programme also receive their degrees.
Additionally, Sandeep Singh, Chairman, BoG – IIM Kashipur also mentioned that they have planned to expand their Dehradun Campus.

“Our diverse student body, including 69 per cent female representation in MBA (Analytics), underscores the evolving landscape of education. We take pride in supporting economically and socially challenged students and fostering an inclusive environment. Today, as we bid farewell to our graduates, we stand poised to shape the future with innovation and inclusivity,” he said.
