The university has begun accepting applications for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses under both online and distance learning modes for the July 2025 academic session.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened online registrations for its Online and Distance Learning (ODL) programs for the July 2025 admission cycle.
Interested candidates can apply through the official portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in by July 15.
For those opting specifically for online programs, registration must be completed at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
Admissions are currently open for both online and distance learning modes. Students are also eligible to apply for scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
According to the latest notification, applicants must create a DEB (Distance Education Bureau) ID before submitting their application.
This ID ensures that students enrolling in ODL programs are officially registered with higher education institutions under University Grants Commission norms.
“The DEB ID is mandatory for submission of the application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process,” reads the official notice.
To complete the process, candidates must first generate their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID.
Once the ABC ID is created, they should proceed to register for the DEB ID by providing necessary details such as their email ID and mobile number.
After entering the required information, they must submit it to obtain the DEB ID.
Students facing any difficulties during registration can contact their nearest IGNOU Regional Center or Study Center for support or use the university’s admission helplines.
Separately, IGNOU has issued admit cards for the June 2025 Term-End Examination (TEE). Candidates who have completed registration and submitted the exam form can download their hall tickets from ignou.ac.in or ignou.samarth.edu.in.
Only those who have successfully submitted their forms will be permitted to appear in the upcoming TEE exams.
