The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has opened the recruitment process for Probationary Officers (PO), Management Trainees (MT), and Specialist Officers (SO), issuing a short notification for its Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT-XVI and CRP SPL-XVI).
The recruitment drive includes 6,715 vacancies for Probationary Officer posts in participating public sector banks.

The online application window will be available from July 1 to July 21, 2026. Candidates will be able to complete the registration process, submit their applications, and pay the examination fee during this period. The recruitment is being conducted to fill positions for the 2027-28 cycle.
IBPS has announced that the comprehensive notification, containing post-wise vacancies, educational qualifications, age criteria, reservation provisions, exam pattern, syllabus, and other recruitment details, will be published on July 1 on its official website.
Applicants have been advised to review the notification thoroughly before submitting their forms.
For Probationary Officer and Management Trainee posts, the preliminary examination is scheduled for August 2026, with the main examination to follow in October.
Candidates shortlisted from the written stages will appear for the Personality Test in November 2026, followed by interviews in November and December. The provisional allotment process is expected to conclude in January 2027.
Candidates applying for Specialist Officer posts will take the preliminary examination in September or October 2026, while the main examination is scheduled for November.
Interviews will be conducted during November and December, and provisional allotment is also planned for January 2027.

IBPS said the final selection and allotment of candidates will be determined by their performance across the applicable stages of the recruitment process, subject to the number of vacancies available in participating public sector banks.
The institute has also advised candidates to confirm that they satisfy all eligibility conditions before applying and to regularly check the official website for announcements related to admit cards, examination schedules, results, and further recruitment updates.
