Haryana government rolls out digital classrooms, fee waivers, and skill-focused programs to enhance learning opportunities and inclusive education across the state.

The Haryana government on Sep 15 unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s education system and providing broader access to learning resources.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the establishment of 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) to create employment opportunities alongside educational development.

Under the plan, the state will equip around 40,000 classrooms with digital boards and set up 1,201 ICT labs, supporting the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) across schools.
Additionally, approximately 5 lakh tablets will be distributed to students in Classes 10 to 12 to facilitate digital learning.
The government has also introduced fee waivers for certain students, ensuring equitable access to education, particularly for marginalized communities.
These measures complement ongoing programs such as the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and the Functional Literacy and Numeracy initiative for Classes 1 to 3.
During the inauguration of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shiksha Sadan in Rohtak, CM Saini highlighted the state’s commitment to inclusive development and educational equity, drawing inspiration from the reforms of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule.
In support of this institution, CM Saini contributed ₹51 lakh from his voluntary fund, while Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra pledged ₹21 lakh for development initiatives.
The government is also implementing the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) in 1,001 schools, aiming to enhance employable skills among students.
These steps are part of Haryana’s broader vision to align educational infrastructure and skill development with India’s long-term growth objectives.
