Designed to increase nationwide AI readiness, the course uses accessible modules to explain core ideas, practical usage, and future career possibilities while inviting institutions to support wider outreach.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has introduced a new short-term learning program called “YUVA AI for ALL” under the IndiaAI Mission, offering free foundational training in artificial intelligence to learners across the country.
The self-paced course, which runs for about 4.5 hours, uses real-life Indian examples to help young people, students, and working professionals understand basic AI concepts in a simple and practical way.

According to the ministry, the initiative is intended to build confidence in using AI tools and increase awareness of how the technology is shaping education, workplaces, and creative fields.
The government has set a target of equipping 1 crore citizens with essential AI skills to narrow the digital divide, encourage responsible use of AI, and prepare India’s workforce for future technological demands.
Institutions including schools, colleges, and organizations have been invited to partner with IndiaAI to expand access to the program nationwide.
The course is divided into six modules that explain what AI is, how it works, its role in different sectors, safe and responsible usage guidelines, real-world applications in India, and emerging opportunities in the field.

Learners can access the training through platforms such as FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi, and several major ed-tech portals.
Participants who finish the course will receive a government-issued certificate.
The enrollment process requires users to log in with a Gmail or LinkedIn account, fill in basic personal and educational details, and then begin the self-paced lessons.
