The Finland International School (FIS), the forerunner of Finnish pedagogical excellence in India, has opened its campus in Guwahati, the center of North-East India.
In light of the extraordinary success of its campuses in Thane and Mumbai, this expansion is a bold step forward in FIS's quest to reimagine education in India.

According to a press release, the announcement was made at a lavish event in Mumbai that was attended by Finland's ambassador to India, Kimmo Lahdevirta, and its consul general, Erik af Hallstrom.
It highlighted the strong collaboration between FIS and Finland's highly regarded educational system worldwide.
With a novel and incredibly successful strategy that combines Finland's internationally recognized teaching techniques with India's National Education Policy (NEP) and ICSE-aligned curriculum, FIS is leading a revolution in education.
"At FIS, our mission is to nurture creativity, empower children with confidence, and equip them to excel in a rapidly changing world. The launch of FIS Guwahati signifies a bold leap in our journey to set new benchmarks for education across India," said Shashank Goenka, Managing Director of Goenka Inc.
“FIS is committed to expanding its reach across India, creating a network of schools that uphold global standards while catering to local needs,” reads the press release.
“With successful campuses in Mumbai and Thane, and now Guwahati, the journey is only beginning. Each new campus strengthens FIS’s mission to empower students with the skills, creativity, and values needed to succeed in the 21st century,” it added.
