Celebrating academic collaboration and cultural diversity, the exchange programme brought together 61 students and faculty for immersive learning, research exposure, and vibrant inter-state traditions.

The Campus Exchange Programme between SRM University–AP and SRM University, Sikkim underscores the institution’s commitment to academic collaboration, experiential learning, and student engagement. As part of the ongoing programme, a vibrant cultural evening was hosted to celebrate the rich traditions of both states.
Students presented classical Kuchipudi and folk dances from Andhra Pradesh alongside Sikkim’s Maruni and Tamang Selo performances, among others. The evening also featured regional folk songs and storytelling sessions, highlighting India’s cultural diversity and shared heritage.

The event was graced by Prof. Ch Satish Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SRM University–AP; Dr R Premkumar, Registrar, Dr Ranjith Thapa, Research Dean; Dr V Koul, Director of Sports and Major General Gurdeep Singh Narang, Director of Student Affairs. Their presence underscored the university’s commitment to holistic education and inter-campus collaboration.
Speaking on the exchange programme, Prof. Ch Satish Kumar emphasised the importance of collaborative research, laboratory exposure, and active student participation in research activities.
Students from SRM University, Sikkim expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality and proactive support extended by the SRM University–AP Student Council. Sharing his experience, Siddhant Sharma, a third-year BBA student from SRM University, Sikkim, highlighted a field visit that provided first-hand exposure to organisational management, mobility, and policy frameworks within a corporate setting.
Ms Manisha Thakuri, Associate Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, SRM University, Sikkim, along with Dr Biswajit Bose, Associate Dean – Research, Faculty of Sciences, SRM University, Sikkim, conveyed their gratitude for the opportunity. They emphasised the significance of cross-campus learning, student engagement, and leadership activities in delivering meaningful academic exposure.
The Campus Exchange Programme reflects SRM University–AP’s holistic academic ecosystem, seamlessly integrating advanced infrastructure, robust student support services, leadership interaction, and experiential learning opportunities. The programme commenced on January 19 and has brought together 61 students and faculty members, fostering academic collaboration and cultural exchange.
