The newly appointed Director reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening IMI New Delhi's academic legacy through collaboration, institutional growth, industry engagement, and leadership development.

Dr. Jones Mathew has officially assumed office as the Director of the International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi, expressing his commitment to building on the institution's 45-year legacy of excellence in higher education, research, and management development.
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Dr. Mathew described the opportunity to lead IMI Delhi as "an honour" and said he was taking on the responsibility with "full enthusiasm and gratitude."

Highlighting the institute's longstanding reputation, he noted that IMI Delhi has established itself through quality education, impactful research, and management development programmes. He also acknowledged the contribution of the institution's faculty and staff, stating that sustained success in a highly competitive higher education landscape is possible only through the strength of its people.
Dr. Mathew paid tribute to the leadership of former Director Dr. Suresh Ramanathan, former Director General Dr. Himadri Das, and previous institutional leaders who have contributed to IMI Delhi's growth. He also acknowledged the guidance of Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka (RPSG) Group.
Looking ahead, the new Director emphasised collaboration with faculty, staff, industry partners, academic institutions, and alumni to shape the institute's next phase of development. His vision includes strengthening IMI Delhi's position as a preferred destination for management education while focusing on institutional growth, leadership development, and producing industry-ready graduates.
Dr. Mathew's appointment comes at a time when business schools across India are increasingly focusing on global partnerships, innovation in management education, and stronger industry engagement to enhance student outcomes.
