The schemes include fee reimbursement, merit-based aid, and overseas study support, with benefits linked to income and academic performance, aiming to improve access and reduce financial barriers.

The Delhi government has opened applications for scholarship schemes for the 2025–26 academic session, targeting students from SC, ST, and OBC categories.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the e-district portal until April 30, according to an official announcement issued on April 6.

The schemes cover students across schools, colleges, and universities in the capital under both state-funded and centrally sponsored programs.
For school students from Classes 1 to 12, the government is offering reimbursement of tuition fees and other mandatory charges, applicable to families with an annual income of up to ₹3 lakh, subject to attendance and academic criteria.
Financial support is also available under the Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana. Students in Classes 9 and 10 can receive ₹5,000 per year, while those in Classes 11 and 12 are eligible for ₹10,000 annually, based on merit and income eligibility.
For those pursuing higher, technical, or professional education, merit-based scholarships range between ₹8,000 and ₹24,000 per year, depending on the course and whether the student is a hosteller or a day scholar. Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in their previous examination to qualify.
The government will also provide ₹25,000 to top-performing students from these categories under the Dr B R Ambedkar State Topper Award across various university streams.
In addition, financial assistance is available for SC students planning to study abroad at the postgraduate or doctoral level.
Selected candidates can receive up to ₹5 lakh per year, with total support capped at ₹10 lakh for master’s programs and ₹20 lakh for PhD courses, subject to eligibility conditions.
The initiative aims to reduce financial constraints and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in continuing their education and accessing broader academic opportunities.
