The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is set to unveil the Class 12 HS result on May 8, providing students with access to their scorecards through the official website – wbchse.wb.gov.in. Candidates will need to input their registration number/roll number and password to access their scorecards.
According to the official schedule, the WBCHSE will declare the Class 12 HS result at 1 pm via a press conference on May 8. Subsequently, students can view and download their results from the official website starting from 3 pm.
Hardcopies of mark sheets and pass certificates will be available from 55 distribution centers, including the four regional offices of the Council across West Bengal, starting May 10.
In the previous year, the result was announced on May 24 for exams conducted between March 14 and March 27. Earlier, in 2022, the result was declared on June 10 for exams held between February 15 and April 27.
This year, the HS exams were conducted between February 16 and February 29, spanning over 2,675 examination centers in the state. Additionally, surprise visits were conducted by board officials to exam centers to curb instances of cheating and unfair means.
In the 2023 session, the pass percentage for WB Class 12 exams stood at 89.25%.
In 2022, due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, the West Bengal government canceled class 10 and 12 exams. A special evaluation criterion was devised to calculate the class 12 results, resulting in a pass percentage of 97.69% among the 8,19,202 candidates.
Following the announcement of the WBCHSE Class 12 results, students failing to clear the exams will have the opportunity to appear for compartment exams. Details regarding compartment exams will be provided after the WBCHSE result declaration.
