Preparing for Success: Strategies for CUET UG 2024 Candidates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the much-anticipated schedule for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024. Aspiring students can now mark their calendars as the comprehensive datesheet and examination details have been officially released on the CUET UG 2024 website—cuetug.ntaonline.in.

This year, the CUET UG 2024 will be conducted in a Hybrid mode, integrating both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and traditional Pen & Paper mode, catering to approximately 13.48 lakh candidates across numerous examination centers spread across 380 cities, including 26 international cities.

Scheduled between May 15 and May 24, 2024, the examination encompasses a diverse range of subjects, offering a total of 63 test papers. The duration of the test varies across subjects, with most exams set at 45 minutes. However, for select subjects such as Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics / Applied Mathematics, and the General Test, the duration extends to 60 minutes.

In a bid to accommodate the vast array of subjects and candidates, the examination will be conducted in multiple shifts:

CBT Mode Exam Schedule

• First CBT mode exam is slated for May 21, with three shifts—9:00 to 11:15 am, 1:15 to 2:45 pm, and 4:45 to 6:15 pm. This session covers a wide spectrum of subjects including Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Telugu, Arabic, Chinese, French, and more.
• Second CBT mode exam is scheduled for May 22, spanning three shifts—9:00 to 10:00 am, 12:00 to 2:15 pm, and 4:15 to 5:45 pm. This session encompasses subjects like Computer Sciences / Informative Practices, Sanskrit, Entrepreneurship, and more.
• Third CBT mode exam is set for May 24, also featuring three shifts—9:00 to 11:15 am, 1:15 to 2:45 pm, and 4:45 to 6:15 pm. Candidates will tackle subjects including Assamese, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Bodo, German, Manipuri, and others.

Pen and Paper Mode Exam Schedule

• Chemistry, Biology, English, and General Test will take place on May 15, with sessions scheduled from 10:00 to 11:00 am, 12:15 to 1:00 pm, 3:00 to 3:45 pm, and 5:00 to 6:00 pm respectively.
• Economics, Hindi, Physics, and Mathematics exams are lined up for May 16, spanning from 10:00 to 11:00 am, 12:15 to 1:00 pm, 3:00 to 4:00 pm, and 5:15 to 6:15 pm respectively.
• Geography, Physical Education, Business Studies, and Accountancy will be conducted on May 17, with sessions from 10:00 to 10:45 am, 12:00 to 12:45 pm, 3:00 to 3:45 pm, and 6:00 to 7:00 pm respectively.
• The final leg of offline exams on May 18 will include History, Political Science, and Sociology, slated from 1:30 to 2:15 pm, 3:30 to 4:15 pm, and 5:30 to 6:15 pm respectively.
