SSA: What is it?

A comprehensive, centrally sponsored program, the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) aims to offer integrated education from preschool through Class 12. It was started in 2018 by combining three pre-existing programs: Teacher Education, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

The Indian government's Ministry of Education is in charge of SSA's implementation.

Allocation of the Budget:

Distribution of Funds: North-Eastern and Himalayan states are 90:10, other states are 60:40, and union territories without legislatures are 100%.

SSA's goals include: - Improving learning outcomes and school effectiveness - Ensuring universal access, equity, and quality in education - Adhering to the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009 - Fostering teacher preparation, vocational education, and technology integration

SSA's main characteristics include: - A district-level strategic plan for educational development; - A comprehensive approach to education from pre-primary through Class 12; - A focus on aspirational districts, areas impacted by Left-Wing Extremism (LWE), and Educationally Backward Blocks (EBBs).

Emphasis on the two facets of technology and teachers; alignment with sustainable development Objective 4: By 2030, guaranteeing inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education.

About the Model School Initiative at PM SHRI Schools:

PM SHRI: What is it?

One of the best model school initiatives that supports the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is the PM SHRI scheme.

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched the program in the 2022–2023 academic year with the goal of creating 14,500 model schools that demonstrate excellent education in line with NEP 2020's tenets.

The PM SHRI Scheme's main characteristics are as follows: Schools will offer inclusive, equitable, and stimulating learning environments.

The integration of cutting-edge technology, multilingual instruction, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. A focus on experiential learning, critical thinking, and basic literacy The plan will be implemented over a five-year period, from 2022–2023 to 2026–2027.

Participation necessitates the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Central and State Governments.
