Anticipation Peaks: Awaited Announcement of JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Results and Analysis
Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2024 session 2
As anticipation mounts among aspiring engineers across the nation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is poised to unveil the results of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2024 session 2, with an expected announcement around April 20. An official from NTA shared this insight with indianexpress.com, indicating that eager candidates can soon access their results on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Before the much-anticipated release of the JEE Main result, NTA will upload the final answer key on the aforementioned website. This final answer key, derived after meticulous consideration of objections raised against the provisional key, serves as the foundation for compiling the JEE Main 2024 result.
This year witnessed the conduct of the JEE Main exam in two sessions – January and April. The April session result assumes added significance as it will include the cutoff marks required to qualify for the esteemed JEE Advanced 2024 exam. Impressively, the total number of registrations for both sessions surpassed 24 lakh, with Session 1 recording 12,21,624 registrations and Session 2 witnessing 12.57 lakh registrations. Notably, candidates' best scores from the multiple attempts will be considered while preparing the final merit list.
In the previous session (Session 1), a remarkable 23 students achieved the coveted 100 percentile mark, reflecting the exceptional caliber of Indian engineering aspirants. Telangana emerged as the frontrunner with seven candidates securing the perfect score, followed closely by Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, each boasting three 100 percentile holders. Additionally, Delhi and Haryana contributed two 100 percentile achievers each, while Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Karnataka each had one student scoring a perfect 100 percentile.
It's important to understand that JEE Main percentile scores are derived based on the relative performance of all examinees in the session. These percentile scores provide a standardized measure, transforming raw marks into a scale ranging from 100 to 0, ensuring fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process, as outlined in NTA's official brochure.
As candidates eagerly await their results, the announcement of JEE Main 2024 session 2 results is not merely a milestone but a stepping stone towards shaping the academic and professional journeys of thousands of aspiring engineers across the country.
