Adapting to Changing Business Realities with Customized Learning and Enhanced Flexibility

ISB Adapts to Evolving Business Realities with Overhauled PGP Curriculum
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has embarked on a comprehensive review of its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) curriculum, recognizing the imperative to align education with the dynamic demands of the modern business landscape.
In response to the diverse backgrounds and evolving needs of its student cohort, ISB has unveiled a revamped curriculum structured around three key pillars. Firstly, the programme will offer a more customized and flexible structure to accommodate students from varied backgrounds, ranging from engineering to the armed forces to arts and sports.

Secondly, the emphasis on learnability will be bolstered through the adoption of activity-based learning methods, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Lastly, the curriculum will feature a built-in system of renewal, enabling proactive responses to future industry trends and requirements.
The phased implementation of these changes underscores ISB's commitment to constant evolution and improvement. The revised curriculum prioritizes personalized and experiential learning opportunities, facilitated by the newly established Centre for Learning and Teaching Excellence.
One notable enhancement is the expansion of elective credits, allowing PGP students to customize up to 60% of their programme according to their interests and career aspirations. The core curriculum has been streamlined to 14 credits, with increased flexibility in elective selection.
ISB has also bolstered its analytics curriculum to meet the demands of a data-driven business environment, introducing new courses covering innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
In a structural realignment, the traditional six-week terms have been replaced with four 'block weeks,' creating space for shorter-term courses and immersive learning experiences. The Office of Experiential Learning will play a central role in bridging theory with practice through field immersions and industry-sponsored projects.
This holistic approach reflects ISB's commitment to staying at the forefront of global educational trends and equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's dynamic business world. The revamped PGP curriculum is informed by a rigorous analysis of the learning landscape, ensuring that ISB remains a trailblazer in management education.
