India and the United States of America announced the Autonomous Systems Industry Alliance's (ASIA) Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) initiative.

Declared during the Indian Prime Minister's recent trip to the United States, the Autonomous Systems Industry Alliance (ASIA) seeks to expand industry collaborations and manufacturing in the Indo-Pacific region.
The United States has made the first offer to collaborate on UDA technologies with India.

This idea relates to the maritime industry and entails monitoring everything beneath the surface of the ocean using tactics, policies, and technology.
• By identifying potential security threats and taking swift action, it improves regional security against terrorism, interstate conflicts, piracy, and other threats.
• helps protect sustainability and economic interests by providing chances for environmental management and the blue economy.
• enhances India's regional diplomacy by fostering collaboration and trust in the maritime sector.
• Autonomous and remotely operated unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) with advanced sensors and cameras are included in this category.
• UUVs such as MAYA, AMOGH, and ADAMYA were developed in India.
• Sonar systems, sonobuoys, SeaPicket autonomous surveillance systems, and other devices are examples of acoustic surveillance.
• India's BEL and the United States have inked agreements for the co-production of Active Towed Array Sonar Systems with L3 Harris and Multistatic Active (MSA) sonobuoys with Ultra Maritime.
