Government emphasises diplomacy while prioritising safety of Indian nationals in the region

The Government of India has called for dialogue and restraint amid escalating tensions in West Asia. The appeal reflects India’s continued emphasis on peaceful resolution of conflicts and regional stability.
During a recent statement, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar highlighted that the government’s immediate priority is ensuring the safety and security of Indian citizens living and working in the region. He noted that authorities are closely monitoring developments and maintaining communication with relevant stakeholders.

India has also been actively engaging in diplomatic dialogue with countries involved in the conflict. The government aims to support de-escalation efforts and encourage peaceful negotiations to prevent further instability.
Experts note that India’s response reflects its balanced foreign policy approach in sensitive geopolitical situations. At the same time, protecting the large Indian diaspora in the region remains a key priority for the government.
