IIT Delhi Announces Certificate Programme in Design Thinking and Innovation: Applications Now Open for Professionals Across Diverse Industries

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced the commencement of applications for its certificate programme in Design Thinking and Innovation. Prospective candidates are invited to apply through the official website by May 9 to participate in this comprehensive course.
The programme, meticulously crafted by IIT Delhi, is tailored for a diverse range of professionals, including designers, design engineers, creative managers, entrepreneurs, marketing professionals, and growth consultants, among others. It aims to equip participants with essential skills and insights into design thinking and innovation methodologies to foster creative problem-solving and drive sustainable growth in various industries.
Candidates are required to hold a graduate degree (10+2+3) or a diploma (10+2+3) from a recognized university in any discipline. Additionally, applicants should possess a minimum of 50% marks and at least one year of work experience. Detailed eligibility criteria can be found on the official website.
The certificate programme spans a duration of 20 weeks, commencing on June 12, with classes starting on June 19. Delivered entirely online, the course comprises over 150 recorded video lectures, more than 15 assignments, 10+ short quizzes, two weekly office hours with faculty, three live webinars, and a capstone project. The total fee for the course is Rs 1 lakh + GST.
The programme encompasses 14 modules, covering topics such as Introduction to human-centered design (HCD), Ideation and immersion, Agile design and data-driven innovation, and Innovation strategies and taking ideas to market, among others. Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences and gain practical insights into real-world applications of design thinking and innovation principles.
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants scoring at least 60% marks in all evaluation components and completing the capstone project will receive a completion certificate from IIT Delhi. Those securing less than 60% or unable to complete the project will be awarded a participation certificate.
